We are going on a picnic and we are going to bring...

...a gourmet, pre-packed picnic basket. If you like the sound of that, you will probably like the website that Emily stumbled across the other day called Madeline Picnic Co. that creates "farm to grass" or "farm to sand" picnic baskets in the Hamptons. Created by foodie and Sag Harbor resident Madeline McLaean, the company was inspired by the idea of a healthy, mobile lifestyle that allows customers to take advantage of fresh local ingredients, and that allows them to spend more time outside on the beaches, vineyards and gorgeous green spaces that the Hamptons has to offer. And not to mention what an adorable idea!

So this is how it works: First, select how many people will be joining you on your picnic. Then, choose menu items such as English Garden Tartines, a Summer Wheat Berry Salad, or even a Kiddie Crudite if you are bringing little ones along. Top it off with some of the Mandarin Orange Rooibos Iced Tea...or of course BYOR (Bring Your Own Rosé). Next, choose from one of three pick up locations in Sag Harbor, Amagansett and Bridgehampton (Friday's only). Lastly, pick a sunny spot and enjoy!

Staying in NYC this summer? We did some research and found that Perfect Picnic does the same thing in the Big Apple. Perfect Picnic says it's "More than lunch. It's an experience." Choose between a classic picnic, a brunch picnic, a proposal picnic with paparazzi photography, or create your own custom picnic. The Perfect Picnic considers themselves a picnic concierge!

Stars, Stripes and Rainbows: Patriotic Party Finds

Love, independence, freedom, friends and family: There are so many reasons to celebrate this weekend! We were taking a stroll through town yesterday, as we often do when we need some event inspiration, and found some incredible patriotic party supplies and host/hostess gifts at Design Solutions and the Whitney Shop.

We came across these "solo cups" and "paper plates" that are actually not disposable. If you are hosting a party or a BBQ this weekend, you absolutely have to get these.

This paper table runner is easy and effortless, and can be tossed after the party is over. They come in rolls that are long enough so that you can use them again for a different occasion.

If you are a party goer and not a party thrower this weekend, we found some fun host and hostess gifts. We especially love the patriotic glasses pouch, and we have been seeing that sea salt soap everywhere so it must be good.

However you are celebrating this weekend, we wish everyone a happy fourth!
